Veles (after a bath)

-Character: Veles (half god, half white dragon)
-Story: Ravenheart (its 3rd continuation)

Tested yet another yolo face guide that I recently came up with (for easier drawing of faces) and the test scribble eventually ended up turning into a sketch of my Ravenheart book character Veles (ML Muirenn's older half brother), which I then drew over and coloured it real quick. (ฅ'ω'ฅ)

At first I drew him with his "newer", "less fancy" appearance, which he has later on in book 11 & 12 (which aren't published yet - I'm currently still working on book 12), which can be seen here (no earrings, eye lines, and no fancy hairstyle): https://www.artfol.co/a/p8912cD
but then I decided to make a test drawing of his pre-war appearance instead (before he falls into a huge depression due to losing most of his family and his special dragon subspecies kin), since I've only made a rough idea scribble of it a while ago so far: https://www.artfol.co/a/izvPOyt

And while he doesn't actually have a proper outfit design yet aside from his cloak, I've at least already decided on the blue pattern that he has on both sides of his cloak, which is god Veles's own symbol from the real Slavic mythology, which kinda looks like an upside-down triangle with "horns", reminding of a horned dragon's head in a way. I thought his own symbol would be the most fitting, despite originally wanting to make it a bit more fancy and even though my book Veles is only inspired by the one from the actual mythology - they are not the same, I mostly just yoinked the name, just like with most other gods that appear in this story, which are, for the most part, all yoinked from various mythologies and divided into "the dragon territory gods" (western mythologies) and "the phoenix territory gods" (eastern mythologies).

*NOTE: His eyes normally have a normal appearance, without the dragon-like pupils, but I just love drawing him with his dragon eyes instead.
