Otto doesn't understand why he values them so much that he'd go so far as to put himself in danger to save them. Otto says" i thought you'd hate me if I stayed" Juno replied,"I hated that you left."
Otto's leaving/betrayel was somehing that really affected Juno as it reminded him of his father abandoning him and his mother and his uncle dying and leaving him behind fairly recent to these events. Sad boy hours
