DAY 26: REMOVE - There was only ever one choice for “remove”, the humble Dandelion. What’s the one plant everyone thinks is a weed and pulls it? What do you do when you see the seed-head? Yep.Dandelions are thought to have evolved 30 million years ago. They were used by the ancient Egyptians, Greeks and Romans, and there are records from traditional Chinese medicine of them being used over a thousand years ago. The whole plant is edible, nutritious and widely used in medicine around the world. Their seeds have even inspired flight engineers and drone designers! They really are an amazing plant, which you don’t really think of when they’re taking over your plant pots.
I also knew from the off what this character was going to look like. They had to have insane dandelion type hair, and I wanted them to look like a wee mob enforcer, someone small yet tough who’s not to be messed with. Dandelion kid is now another one of my favourites.Oct 26, 2023
