Ive never said or been told this but idk kinda seems like an extra compliment. They were able to appreciate the art despite not liking the character. Seems pretty harmless imo

I don't see the problem as long as they are polite about it. I mean you can not like a character/ship that is fine that is your opinon. But thank you for the compliment about my art. If they are rude about it is when I get annoyed
