I remember running through endless fields of spider lilies in my youth during quiet mornings in June. The crisp air of the summer day and the dewdrops dripping from its crimson petals would greet me as the sun rose to the sky. Despite their morning appearance, I always believed they looked most beautiful at night when the petals would shine underneath the moon's gentle glow. My mother always said that when a soul passes on, another one of these flowers blooms. Could that explain why they were as countless as the stars shining above them?I had hopes that one day, Tulip, I'd take you to see these fields to honor their beauty and symbolism. I feel that you would've appreciated them, just as much as myself. Perhaps in another life, we can see them together.Jun 24, 2023
