I've been wanting to improve my color theory but I'm not sure how, do you know any exercises I could do to practice?
I know basic stuff like complimentary colors but other than that I don't know how to use colors

Some things to try out:
-mix colors traditionally with paint. Try to create every color using only the three primary colors. Start with making secondary from those primaries, then tertiary from that, etc. This can help you understand how much of certain colors are in other colors and how they relate to each other.
-work with limited color palettes. You may be surprised at how little colors you need to give the effect of other colors due to the relation of temperatures among the limited palette. It will teach you a lot about using temperatures in colors to your advantage.
-in relation to the second tip, which can be harder to practice digitally, you can look up exercises regarding color temperature, and try to replicate them to learn what's behind a lot of tricks that relative colors play on the eyes
-copy drawings/paintings of masters! First try not to eyedrop tool the colors, to test yourself. Just try to eyeball it. Then if you really can't figure it out, eyedrop it. Sometimes the surprise/cognitive dissonance at what color it actually is is exactly what I need to remember it works like that. But really try to figure it out without eyedrop first.
All that said, I think you have great potential with your colors! Some of your fully colored drawings already have a nice unified vibe going. Keep up the good work c:

Some thumbnail scetches of different color harmonies, complementary colors and such could help?
Also varying the vibrancy/dullness of the colors used and comparing them could work?
Other than that, getting into contrasts and doing some exercises there while using those colors and doing some of them with colors that don’t go together might be a good idea?

•I don’t know MUCH color theory, but I’ve got a little bit LMAO. But really everything I’ve picked up is just from experimenting on my own. Things like how colors look next to one another, how to mess around the color wheel to get what you want, etc. But this may also be not helpful cause I’m a very “fuck around find out” learner LMAOOO
