Do you think that A.I art is going to replace artists. Why or why not?
I believe that A.I art won't. From what I've heard some A.I art is basically grabbing art on the internet and mashing them together. Also when it comes to art A.i art their is no humanity in it, artists strives on bringing our art to life and one individual stands out on its own. Ai art from what I've seen is just colors blur together, you would have to redo the A.i image just to get the best results. Though it's hardly successful.

When Photography became a thing there were ppl thinking that was the end of painting, too.
The reality is that art will always be subjective and ultimately connected to context. You either get context or create your own through association, and it doesn't really matter how the art itself was made.
So I think AI art has some potential and maybe even it's place in art, but ultimately it's just another medium.

People keep saying that AI art violates copyright, but I'm pretty sure it counts as transformative work? Lol, I've watched too many YouTube controversies about copyright by now. But I think that's what AI art falls under.

I don’t think that AI art is going to replace artists
Right now the art made by AI looks good at first glance but with closer inspection nothing actually makes sense. It could be a useful tool for artists to get their ideas out but it’s far from a finished product.
And then there’s the copyright issue. Right now you can prompt the AI to generate art based on an artist’s style, which is incredibly scummy
. I think in the future artists should be able to give consent on whether or not their art should be used in AI’s database
It’s just annoying that people think they’re suddenly artists when all they do is type in some prompts. Sure learning how to communicate effectively with the AI takes effort but it isn’t equal to the years that an artist put in to learning composition, color theory, anatomy,… honestly if there’s a Venn diagram for the people who think AI is going to replace artists and the people who buy nfts, it’s a circle lol

I do not think A.I. art is going to either substitute artists or die as trend.
First because in order to substitute artists people would to stop making art to begin with. People haven't stopped painting just because photography was invented.
Sure, the place portrait painters used to have in market diminished but people never stopped painting or pursuing art.
Vocaloids have been existing for a while too but people haven't stopped singing.
The real value of art does not lies on how much money you can make from it.

honestly, I dont think A.I will replace us artist. ya know how A.I 'arts'? its not really that dynamic or that , appealing. In the end, a 'perfect' representation needs to be done manually. this is my opinion qwq

No, for two reasons.
1. Copyright issues because AI has to use pre-existing art.
2. One thing that makes us human is art. The only way to stop art is to stop humanity from existing.

I don’t think so. Right now at least no AI image feels genuine. It doesn’t matter how “realistic” it is,somehow the generations are all uncanny in one way or another.
It also is only decent in a small pool of style genres. I was drawing yesterday thinking “there’s literally no way AI could come up with this”. Generators don’t even know the context of what they’re producing,not even the basic principles of art. They just see a bunch or images and merge it until it’s technically a certain style and do the same for different prompts.
I hope these can’t ever be copyrighted. Then it’s possible to use any of the images,which will deter companies and force them to hire artist if they want to be as greedy as possible.

•i think it will replace artists in certain fields/specific workloads. difficult to say which ones so far, but im placing my bet on industrial work.

Humans being humans, we still do things because we like to do those things. AI art is not going to deter us from creating our own things.
Peeps still creature and design their own clothes when they cold go to a store. Peeps still build their own furniture, traditionally paint, peeps build their own computers when they can just go to the store and buy own, etc. We like to be busy.
Like all art movements, we have reached a new chapter. We've been having similar arguments about technology in photography and digital art but we adapted and we will adapt to this new concept also.
I have no concerns with AI art other than the potential corporatism and the capitalist route like all other things.

I don't think AI would replace artists. Because for that we need to define art. What makes art "an art"? When we answer this question, then AI can replace us. But for now art is vogue,personal and abstract concept. So,we have many times until then.

Artists that got paid good money to make book covers and albums for bands will have to compete with much cheaper AI-made "art." It's a cost thing. How do I make this prediction? Photography had a similar effect, it made handmade art a novelty/special interest and photographs became the default for commercial art like advertisements.
Nobody thinks AI will be better or just as good as real artists, but if the cost is significantly lower and the quality tolerable, people would rather do that bc people are cheap.
