RykerSomething something Character concept
Saw a lot of that Micheal Afton/Ennard fanart and got inspired. Made an entire robot out of it.
Ok, so. LORE:
Base of the robot is an artificial skeleton. Organs are basically the support systems, like for energy and stuff. Very minimal though to keep the weight down. Then comes the cables. The cables are to mimic the basic muscle masses on the body. The head itself has no mimic for facial muscles, only some basic stuff for jaw movement.
Originally this robot was intended as a fall back for a person the creator likes. Incase they can't properly regenerate after injury.
But that went into the bin once "Ryker" just...started existing? Like, the robot body sat around in it's building bay, without any software in it and just "woke up" one day and started wandering the facility. They properly scared the crap out of the creator and the facility organizer.
Instead of dissecting Ryker, the creator just went with it. Gave them a name, some clothes and just generally kept tabs on them to observe their behavior.
Ryker lives and helps in the facility he came to. He may have some form of robot ADHD, bc he's a scatterbrain, easily bored but wants to do thousand things at once. He's disobedient at times and likes to egg on the exosuits, calling them "hollow brains". He does not know where he came from, only that his body was made by the creator.
He's usually confined to the facility bc his very existence violates like half the catalogue of robotics laws put in place by an international committee. Doesn't stop him from sneaking out and committing mischief though.Feb 27, 2022
