There is so much talk and fandom for Luca. I really don’t get what the hype is all abt. It’s a cute movie, granted. But it didn’t feel that good to me.

Maybe its cuz i dont use social media as much anymore but i dont see alot of hype for it, so i just saw the movie on its own without the weird hype attached to it and thought it was a cute simple movie sure its not groundbreaking stuff but its not trying to be. Idk i rlly liked the movie and found it wholesome and one of those movies u would watch to boost ur mood.

What I will say is that this movie is just Italian Coco ... Like just think about :" Boy has to go to another world with a friend and has a wacky adventure to make things right "

•Some kids don't get exposed to much. Haven't been along enough to see better so to them it's amazing and they connect with or like the idea of "oh no monster" story so deep or make up queerness that isn't there ( like as a gay man wtf are they talking about??) Seriously weird to ship children. Im guessing they're so antisocial they don't know what natural friendships look like. I'm not going to take away their fun of creating sea monsters and stuff. It's a cute film and looks gorgeous. I do think compared to the other stuff that's been put out over the years from disney/pixar it definitely is a nice bump up comparatively but not something I care to see again.

honestly same. it’s just another animated movie to me. sometimes i jokingly call it the cal-arts style movie lol. like it’s an alright movie, but it just didn’t have quite the punch, ya know? or maybe i’m just tired of 3d animated movies idk-
