I have completely abandoned this app for the last two years for various reasons (mostly me-related tbh), but with the whole gAI/Meta debacle I find myself here once more.
I'm seeing more and more people leaving IG for the Cara app, and I gotta say I made an account on it, but it feels super unfair to Artfol. Like, if only Artfol had popped up in the last few days, it would have gotten so much traction and visibility. The app is lovely, polished, and has a lot of real neat features, but it doesn't seem favoured by the massive IG exodus. Idk what to think. Do you think Artfol can find popularity once again ?Jun 1, 2024

It doesn't look like it but Artfol is popular. It just has a different target group as Cara. That's why no one says "omg join Artfol". You probably won't get clients or getting hired. But it's more chill and a bit like a nice family reunion. Also the developer team is so much smaller. They will release 2.0 soonish (I don't know when) which should give the site a push. But until then I wouldn't stress too much about it.

•Hmmm. I use artfol occasionally. Cara feels more on the professional side. Honestly, I'll still have my insta to reach potential client work, and stick with friends. Artfol is less overwhelming and it's a nice place to be.
