so I actually broke down for real
Just from the realization of the current state of my health and how it’s affecting me.
I’m too physically unwell to be working like AT ALL; every time I wake up my neck issues get worse.
but at the same time too goddamn broke to go to a doctor for help. Already swamped with bills, so how can I?
I’m stuck in a vicious cycle with no idea what to do, with a fear that I might just get laid off from my side-gig for the rather frequent breaks just a month in.
I’ve however gotten around to making the difficult decision of taking a hiatus from for at least 1-2 months. This means no updates for Underbrush or Space Castle Artemis.
Sucks because I really love doing these stories, though I did wanna learn to take better care of myself this year. It’s hard to let go of these projects albeit temporarily, I’m so invested in the work and the reception they’ve gotten. I legit thought I could pull a David Martinez while forgetting the last few episodes of Edgerunners.
So I’m gonna actually take a step away from art for a while, just focusing on getting better and improving my income; if it means putting webcomic work down for a while then so be it.
I’m sorry for those of y’all who have just gotten into these stories, as new as they are, and finding out this early on they’re being put on hold. It’s just as heart wrenching to me to break it to you.
I do urge you to please hold the line! I’m gonna come back to em, stronger and better. I’ll be sure to make the wait worth it. I wanna see these stories to the end.
