To those who crosspost on other platforms, do you treat your accounts differently? As in, treating one as a portfolio of sorts and another for posting more studies, fanart, wips, etc.
Basically I’ve never had more than one platform at a time(Artfol) but set up a Bluesky recently and do people just copy paste everything to each platform?Dec 25, 2024

I treat them pretty much the same. Sometimes I post sketches or doodles on artfol that I wouldn't post by themselves on instagram except in a doodle dump or something. Mostly because on artfol you can hide things from your gallery at any time without making the post inaccessible (aka archiving or deleting it). But when it comes to finished, "polished" art, I post it everywhere. I dont post wips as permanent posts anywhere, only in instagram stories for example.
I also write each caption individually on each platform, even if they contain the same meaning I phrase it differently. Feels more genuine than just copy pasting it. But sometimes I write something on one platform that I don't on the other, for example because I notice one audience is more interested in something than the other (ocs, certain fandoms, etc) or I add more on artfol because nobody here knows me irl and I can be more vulnerable lol. But yeah in terms of what art I post it's the same everywhere
