quick portrait of my ffxiv character, based on a screenshot. i'm still pretty unused to painting and soft brushes generally, but i thought i'd try out critique on here and see if i could pick up some tips.in criticism i'm looking for overall impressions, anything that looks off or weird, ways i could punch up this kind of portrait, and/or any advice for digital painting.

This looks really good. I don't think there is much to critique here.
I would say things here like if you want it to be the perfect copy of the ref you sent, like a more defined light source/shadows, smaller eyes and a bit up. But I like said, this already looks great, it has your own style

This is gorgeous! I feel woefully under qualified to be offering much criticism, but I'd recommend a more discernible light source maybe? a dramatic light source can elevate any piece in my opinion if you're looking for something louder. For digital art as a whole, I highly suggest messing around with layer modes, colors, light and shadows can really highlight your work, again, this is beautiful and I love your work!!!!!
