@queensievas's post on Artfol
Anyone else got the feeling to receive really few comments here on artfol?
The people I follow usually get some comments but a lot of my posts have 0 lol. Is that my fault for not engaging enough with the community or...? Idk

It's not your fault.
Remember that u need to create art for yourself, not for statistics or insights.
The best way to receive some feedback is doing the basic things: commenting, liking or sharing other artist's works. It makes you start creating connections with other users.
For me, Artfol is really cool, even if I don't have much attention. I don't care about it anymore. I create art for myself. That's it.

Artfol is still in development and has has only around like 100k peeps in here. Its not insta that has like 800 mill to 1 billion active users so don't get your hopes to high, it takes time so be patient
The only thing good in here is the algorithm i think, instagram algorithm sucks but i still use it :p

β’Actually, I see myself getting more comments then usual. I guess for me people never commented on my stuff so I tried to push my own work and others which works for me at least. I guess showing a personality behind the stuff you post helps a lot in the long run.

β’I find it a bit hard to comment or like posts here because alot of it is anime related/ in an anime style which i'm not so much a fan of. But i am always looking at new posts and like and comment the ones that i like

β’I think that one of the problems is that artfol is still not as widely known social media app , which also means less engagement . But if you do have followers on here , textposts and some questions in your posts with a drawing could help you gain more engagement.

β’Hmm. Don't take this wrong, but one that might help you is to give something to comment on. Personally, at least I don't know what to say other than "nice" and writing comments like that is often pretty boring.
So you could write little bit more in description? Like questions? "what do you like"? Well thats not the best idea, but something.
Another is always respond your comments! (tho you already too that I guess?
) and being active.
But yeah... Like everyone else is saying people are not that active here and definitely not commenting. Thats problem in everywhere anyway. People are so passive :p

β’Engaging with community and being very active will probably help! My posts barely got any attention and I had zero followers for a while, but then I started to be a lot more social and supportive of other accounts, as well as just posting more (art and textposts) and my account started gaining more traction.

β’I think its a mix between interacting with followers and just coincidence,,,, I dont get many comments but when I do its people who ive had convos with and stuff aha
