Arkose ref

I'm still playing around with colouring styles but I think I'm getting somewhere??? Maybe???

Anyway this is Arkose. Bassist, theatre fan, (especially the really old stuff) smooth talker, hedonist and chief annoyer of Devon.
If asked, he'd describe Devon as a miserable killjoy, and Devon would tell you that Arkose is an obnoxious poser. They'd tell each other that too, and in fact, they often do. And yet, despite their mutual antagonism they're actually very close (and may be gradually getting even closer πŸ‘€) and fully have each others' backs.

Devon adds a sprinkle of restraint to Arkose's less sensible ideas, and Arkose brings Devon back down to earth when he starts getting a little too wrapped up in his own head, and so their respective dysfunctions kinda balance eachother out.
Victoria and Arkose on the other hand, can't be left alone together too long, for their own safety and the sake of society at large.

He has a pretty violent history, and was raised among a group of people who wandered ruins and settlements, scavenging and stealing fuel. Thanks to his tanklike build and intimidating appearance, he was always pushed to the forefront of any violent conflicts. For this reason, he now abhors genuine violence (tho he loves to playfight!) and is very much a lover, not a fighter.Nov 21, 2023
