Where I live, right now, the sun rises at 9:35 am and sets at 3:15 pm, so the day is 5 hours and 40 minutes long, night lasts 18 hours and 20 minutes, and it's getting darker, still.
Finally, after 21st of december, we get to enjoy some minutes more of light each day. Can't wait.
In summer this is reversed, and there are parts of the country where the sun never sets.
