What’s something you used to believe as a kid that seems silly now?
For me it was either that all the teachers lived at school with their families and I thought that’s how they were always there so fast, or that whenever actors in a movie dies they died for real so I’d always wonder why they’d choose that job

I used to think that my parents made furniture store because my mother painted cupboard once

•When I got my period, I thought that drinking water would make more blood come out, so the day I got it, I dehydrated myself up until I got into the car and told my mom my period started, she immediately got me water and was wondering where the hell I got that from

So uh- as a child (more like toddler age) I believed that I could bring people to heaven with me xD I have no idea how I thought that. Whenever I got furious with people, I told them “You’re not going to heaven with me!!”

•As a kid I used to think that the vacuum in my pool would suck me up if I went near it, I also used to believe that lined paper was good for sketching

When I was little I thought chicken fingers (tenders) were the literal fingers of chickens.
I also refused to eat anything with seeds in it because of that one Rugrats episode where chucky swallows a seed and a watermelon grows inside of him

•I used to imagine God (and I still imagine him this way because I never thought of something else ahah) as an old man (kind of like Santa Claus) in an hot air balloon with a lot of buttons he uses to navigate air and a big book with the world's history. And he receives priors as hearts (like heart emojis that fly in the sky) and sometimes parchment with people's requests in it... don't know where this vision comes from but it sounds too detailed to come only from me ahah !

For me, haha, I believed a lot of weird stuff but here’s a dumb one: I somehow believed that in traffic lights, there were really skinny police men in them, controlling the lights. At this one intersection, my family always had to use the left turning lane but I didn’t understand turning lanes so I thought this one police man really liked us and made an arrow appear just to let us go home.
I also thought they lived in the light poles because I realized that a person that skinny would look STRANGE so my brain was like, “Uhhh, I don’t wanna see that, that sounds creepy, so uh they just live in them.”
My family still makes fun of me about this.

•As a kid I was terrified that there was a giant octopus or shark waiting at the bottom of the swimming pool waiting to eat me. At the same time, I was on a swim team so... idk what I was thinking
