“We Love You, Garrus”

Consider this my late Mother’s Day drawing :’D I decided to draw more fan character stuff this year, this time with Garrus, and he does indeed have two moms! While they do have their moments where they unintentionally embarrass him, he understands that they do mean well and appreciates all that they do for him!

I haven’t figured out a name yet for his biological mom (the one on the right), but I did think of one for his stepmom (the one on the left)! Her name is Mia, with her full name being Ipomoea (and her original last name before she married the other mom being Alba), which stems from the scientific name for “moonflower”. I thought it’d be fitting since she gets really into floristry after the Moonlanders reside on Earth!

I even thought of a backstory for how their marriage came to be!
You see, they were childhood friends and have looked out for each other all their life. In her 20’s-30’s, his biological mom started dating this unknown Moonlander and eventually got pregnant with Garrus somewhere along the line. The two ended up getting engaging, but things didn’t end up working out and the two split. Mia comforted her and stuck by her side through the difficult break up, and eventually somewhere along the line, the two started dating and eventually got married before Garrus was born!

So yeah that’s your rare dose of OC lore from me today! Happy late Mother’s Day to all the wonderful moms out there! For those who weren’t able to celebrate though, I give you all of my love and support as well and I wish the best for you!
