One fan design ref
I redesigned my fan design for One from TPOT (personally I'm more of an hfjONE kind of guy, but I like that too) inspired by many other fan designs. What I wanted to go for was this idea, something you could theoretically let your guard down around, but there's still something very wrong with what you're looking at. The way she moves is uncanny in a way that feels like a mix of a malfunctioning robot and a predatory animal stalking prey, that movement definitely feels wrong. That fits her vibes and character in canon and my headcanon of her being a terrifying aberration among algebraliens. As for the missing
when that isn't canon, I can explain. It was partially inspired by my false Hydra One AU and inspired by another person's fan design of One. My personal headcanon around THAT design feature is that she sees that as a reminder to hold a grudge against Four, and keeps it partly exposed to use as a subliminal signal of "hey I've suffered, making a deal with me will be worth it." That and because she's crazy. Also I decided to incorporate another headcanon of mine. If you were wondering why I gave One that snake-like feature, here's the explanation. First, I think it looks cool and makes her look more interesting in a "what is that" way. Second, One is cunning and manipulative, snakes in Western culture are commonly associated with deception. She also reminds me of a snake oil seller. Third, a long time ago I saw a post where someone gave their versions of algebraliens that feature because it made them have more creature vibes. And One can canonically shapeshift. If any algebralien were to have that, it would be One. Also (aside from the deception symbolism) I feel like One would be the most likely to have this because of the fact she is one of the only characters in fiction to scare me, and I'm a huge horror fan.Apr 20, 2026##tpotone
