Do you guys ever see an art trend and wonder where it originated from? 
For example I noticed more and more people drawing lower eyelashes as white spikes that originate from the eyeball itself.
Or others drawing hair highlights as a white squiggle with a colorful border, kinda like a neon light.
Maybe I noticed these things just now and people have been doing them for ages but I still find this super fascinating. (☆^☆)May 7, 2023

Actually it might be fun asking one artist who draw like this, where it saw it first, then ask the indicated artist the same thing, and maybe it's possible to retrace the spreading line of this style backward until its origin

•The eyelashes stretching out from the eyeball, I distinctly remember there was one big artist doing it and even explaining how to do it with a tutorial, and that was at a time where, at least for me, it was a totally new idea. I don't remember the artist's name, I don't remember if she (I think the gender it's she) was on Youtube or Instagram, but I think it originated from her! No idea if she invented it, but for sure I think she popularised it

•i had the white spikes as eyelashes era for a bit, a lot of the times it's from big artists with distinct styles who influence smaller artists that look up to them. i remember the whole reason i changed my eyelash style was bc i saw an artist on insta do the same and i thought it looked cool!!

People have been doing this for a little time now, but it’s definitely getting more and more popular!!
