Make sure you have the treasure compasses. A chest might only have 1-10 primos in it, but they add up.
Make sure you've done all the quests you can. And you do every event, including the web ones. Primos are usually the event prize that takes the least effort, so don't worry if you're bad at something.
Have you obtained EVERY teapot gift from every character? Again, it's not a huge amount of primos per gift set per character, but it adds up if you haven't already got them. I have my teapots set up so I have the full mondstadt gift set in the mond. teapot, full liyue set in a liyue pot etc etc, so I just put each character into whatever region theyre from. Use a spreadsheet to keep track of what items you need to make for any sets youre missing (some of the Sumeru ones take a hell load of stuff!).
The last is don't wish on character banners where you don't want the 5*. Don't bother with weapon banner if you're f2p. Use starglitter to buy more wishes once you've done a bunch of wishes.
