Oof trauma response
Here I go again with the headcanons. Disclaimer, these are only headcanons that I got from studying her character (she was the Webmaster of the Starr Park archive fan site for sure) and some of my own projections that I think make sense (though I try to limit it). I hc that this doesn't happen often, but it still happens. I headcanon that Colette has interest in things other than the brawlers (evidence I found in canon material) like time travel, (maybe dimensional travel) biology, (whatever the supernatural stuff in Starr Park is) and possibly others. Though I hc that the topic of mind control and brainwashing is a very traumatic subject for her, since she went through it (tried to resist it) and it ended up driving her insane (HC again but there's some evidence for it), and she gets really defensive and aggressive whenever it's brought up (trauma response for sure). Another HC related to this, Colette has some insanity induced feral tendencies (not much of a stretch in my opinion, she's certainly crazy enough to have that, also one of her concept art pieces shows the possibility of feral tendencies), like purring when hyped, content or excited, growling when really angered or maybe threatened, and in this case barking when she gets really worked up over something (look up those videos of bilingual cat barks to get a picture of what it sounds like). In this case, someone brought up brainwashing and it triggered her to react aggressively out of panic. It's pretty evident that this is a trauma response and it's possible in my opinion that something like this could be the case in Brawl Stars canon.Aug 30, 2024#brawlstars
