Cricket!
I'm excited to finally introduce my newest character, who I created specifically for a very wholesome roleplay with my pal KB!This is Twenty-three, or Cricket (as she later renames herself once she develops a sense of personhood). Cricket is a young escaped lab experiment who came about unexpectedly when scientists inserted human DNA into a rat embryo. The researchers in charge of the project were originally using this method in an attempt to test the effectiveness of vaccines with more accuracy, but specimen Twenty-three quickly became their special area of study - and they didn't treat her too kindly. Being the size of a rat, the girl was subjected to tests, trials, and various experiments in order to evaluate her performance.
Cricket happens to cross paths with KB's character Donald soon after escaping the facility, which seems unlucky at first...but she gradually learns that this human may not be like the ones who tormented her for so long. And over time, Donald shows her that it's possible to find family in the most unexpected places.Nov 11, 2023
