If it's your own photo or open source/you have permission to use it then it's fine to include! I think they're neat, and also collages are neat too

What do you mean, stuff like photo-bashing or just straight up photography? Either way, both are art forms that can present different ideas, so I'm fine with them being used how ever.

I think it’s great! I use photographs of real places and draw my characters in those environments (check my recent posts if ur curious) and it helps me practice lighting as well as perspective!

Unless you're doing realism/hyperrealism, I think it's fine. Not like the photographer can paint it themselves. And typically things change in it as you paint anyway.
Basically, if the media and overall look is different, then it isn't really infringement.
