I have a question .
Is it an eating disorder to forget to eat?
Or to like not be able to eat a lot and then eat a shit ton the next day?
I haven't been eating a lot and it's starting to get to my headJul 31, 2023

I don’t have a definite answer, but when I was in an eating disorder hospital the doctors would diagnose just about anything that wasn’t considered “normal” eating as an eating disorder. I think the main component when making a diagnosis though was whether it negatively affected someone’s weight or health.

It happens to some adhd people. Some easily forget to eat, and some suddenly begin eating a snack and can't stop. I guess that it can become an eating disorder, if you feel like it's a trouble maybe go to a doctor

It may have many sources so doctor time. Noone will give you right answers here. Only guessings & speculations.

Are you biologically female? Cuz if so there's a whole science behind that with food and your menstrual cycle

if it's not on purpose and not something you feel happy about or anything similar personally I wouldn't worry about it all too much, if it's getting to become a bigger conceen and you're not sure how to go about please bring it up to an adult, there's only so much help randos online could offer. you'd be better telling a parent and getting a doctor's appointment somewhere

That could definitely be a form of disordered eating but it could also be you not recognizing your hunger cues (I personally struggle with this. I have a hard time telling when I’m hungry and forget to eat) or you being more hungry one day and less hungry another. It might help if you start paying extra attention to your hunger cues and how your feeling when your hungry. Are you constantly eating when you feel hungry or do you find yourself eating when sad.
