All those American right wing opinion-show faces talking about how drag queens are "grooming" children... By reading them stories in a library
Wait until they find out about the British Christmas tradition of pantomime and how one of the tropes is the presence of a dame.
.... A Dame being a man in drag. And the audience is very much aware that character is a man in drag.
A pantomime being a fairy tale story on stage that's meant to be watched by children.
Schools take classes to see them as a fun activity in the run up to Christmas.
.... No one is accusing pantomime of "grooming" children. Because it's innocent, kid friendly theatre. Practically every person born in this country has seen at least one. And look at us - we've got an ultra right wing party in power. Our "don't say gay" bill was only repealed in the early 00s. One of our PMs this year derogatorily referred to gay men as "tank topped bum boys".
If men in drag telling children stories groomed them into a life of homosexuality.... Britain would be proof of that....
(I'm sure there are far more right wing politicians being investigated by police for diddling kids than pantomime dames too

It's almost like it's a non-story designed to get you to forget the failings of your country......
And really, if kids were getting "groomed" by drag queens reading them age-appropriate books, it's because theyre exposed to different lifestyles than Christian Conservative. And realise that.... Hey maybe dressing like this is fun! Or that other lifestyles exist and that there isn't actually anything wrong with that.
