I learned that even if your account is private your images can still be used for US users at least. Meta is not using private account images for those who are in the EU.

I afk from social media for a bit and I find out Instagram and many other social media platforms are using personal information and copyright material without consent from its users. So I’m making art resources on my Carrd and at the bottom talks about AI art (as it relates to art theft) with places that restrict it (like Artgram, Tapas, InPrnt, Newgrounds) and ways to poison you art for trolling purposes or simply just protect it: https://smoll.crd.co/#crimes (if I should add anything let me know

Since the article there is an opt to out form for the US, but it’s really hard to find and it’s only for after the fact (here is link): https://www.facebook.com/help/contact/1266025207620918

They may not accept request for art since it says, “Use this form to submit requests related to your personal information from third parties being used to develop and improve AI at Meta… In general, personal information is information about you. Examples include your name, home address, phone number or email address.”Jun 6, 2024
