On what colored background do you start sketching? (Digitally)
I always get eye cancer when I see ppl starting to sketch on a white background ( ꈨຶ ˙̫̮ ꈨຶ ) but most of my art friends do that.

I start by picking color that I'll probably do the lineart with (orange/pink) and then I just change opacity to like 20-ish% so it's barelly visible but not white haha. I do it cause I am the worst at backgrounds so when I decide to not paint one it already has the color that's a bit different than white artfol or instagram feed

I used to digitally draw on a bright white background. I now starting sketching on light grey since it's easier on mt eyes and I'm less likely to get a headache.

I sketch on paper, but (if it counts ) I do my lineart on a dark grey background with white lines

I do my sketching either on white or if I already have a background in mind I sometimes draw it first. But before lineart or color I will always do the background.

I use white ¯\(ツ)/¯ I sometimes switch to a darker grey while colouring because I see the light colours better

My bg color is a desaturated tan. Easy on the eyes and also a nice starting point for skintones ^-^

I like a really light orangish pinkish toned background unless the drawing will inevitably become that color because my eyes will get sick of it lol
