A world for my ocs bc they feel very

But i have no idea how to even start bc each of my ocs backstory and almost all of their spieces is different
It used to be easier to make up stuff when i was younger

there could be many different environments for youre different species and there you go, a world with societies and civilizations!

start thinking about ur characters lore, you said that almost all of ur ocs are different species, start thinking about the biology of those species. when you think about their biology, youll start to think about the adaptations they have to survive in their environment, then u start expanding on their environment. think of the religions, myths or folklore in the area youve created and why it’s there and if ur characters believe in it.

One way I sorted my ocs into kinda one story with them being all different species is a bubble gum machine in which every gum is like another planet xD
I like these silly little ideas to combine stuff so maybe if not all of them fit into the same space doing something similar could help :3

Having a story for your OCs helps finding symbolic traits that their environment shozld have in order to express the topic of the story as best. Simple example: if the story is about struggle for freedom, the setting could be a prison, or a tyrannic kingdom.

You could do something akin to what DnD worlds do with their different Planes, where you have different realms of existence that can inhabit different types of creatures.
You could go for a sci-fi esque approach like doty suggested, with different planets
Depending on how many ocs eith drastically different species you've got, you could try to fit them all into different areas of a single world
You could try to figure out some of the big elements of your world first (the creation myth, the gods if there are any, your magic system if there is one, etc.) and then adjust the different designs and species of your characters to make things fit together more

Here’s the first few ideas that come to mind my mind;
- They live in the same galaxy, they may be on differentiated planets but they all share one galaxy
- similar to the first one they live in a galaxy that is all connected (think like in Star Wars) so they are all on the same planet and can even be in the same area/city even if it’s not their planet of origin.
- have a world where all of these species are from the same world even though they’re different, lots of fantasy stories will have this concept so you can have multiple different species.
- do something where they live on the same world but at different times and that’s why the species aren’t the same in ever era.

personally, I'd say that it depends on what kind of relationship each of your oc's have with each other and kinda go off of that??? Even though their backstories and species are different they can still coexist but it depends on their interpersonal relationship with each other
