AF 2022 - Starlit goop

This one was an attack on Honeyburns, an artist I found while I was looking for alien characters! They have a pretty unique style and a crazy amount of OCs lol, so definitely pay their profile a visit! :]

This goopy fella is an infected alien that can shapeshift into bug-like creatures, and since I was in a psychedelic mood when I got to draw them, I chose to go towards a freakier direction lol- by distorting their limbs, showing that the green infection was spreading to other parts and even mixing some features of their other forms!

Also, I weirdly made the decision of painting everything on a single layer when the pose I wanted to draw was challenging (those hands- they were a PAIN)... but in the end, I can definitely say I'm flippin' proud of it! I loved messing with their already bright palette, plus drawing those slimy infection bits was a lot more fun than I initially thought- I might've even gotten carried away by all the green splotches and blobs xD

Oh, and a lil' trivia: those stars were shaded in a similar way to those plastic glitter star particles! I've been trying to figure out their effect for a while, and finally managed to get it right! ^^
