Promare: incredible animation and music all around, but most of it had me be like "How blatant can you get with these allegorical themes?" Galo was also way too much like Kamina from Gurren Lagann, so I gravitated towards Lio more. With a whole lotta action going on, one is bound to get zoned out at some point. The twist was really "ehhhh" too, not helped by the fact that I got exposed to it when I was still on Insta a few years back. Then again, the villain twist in general has always been predictable if you've seen every movie EVER. Overall, I give this a simple "Eh, it was alright."Sep 17, 2021
