For those wondering why I was hiding for an angry elderly woman at work yesterday, here is why:
Two elderly women: Watch their favourite show on a streaming service
Streaming service: Goes to homepage after showing one episode and make the show disapear for some reason
The elderly women: asks me why there is no another episode yet (or I thought they did)
Me: try to find the show back, but the show is gone for some reason
That one elderly woman:
"What are you doing?"
"We were watching dr. Tinus, why did you remove dr. Tinus?"
"Well, this is ridiculous, this can not stand."
"Were you even supposed to touch the remote?"
(To my colleague who tried to help) "she removed dr. Tinus!"
"You shouldn't have touched the remote"
My colleague: puts on a clip of the show on YouTube for them to watch
Me: *Walks into the living room?
Youtube after clip: instead of showing another clip of the show, shows another show
That elderly woman: "She is doing it again! She removed dr. Tinus again!"
I now realise that it sounded excatterated when I said "Angry", but I just don't have a thick skin.Nov 14, 2025
