I have a question,
Is procreate worth it ?
Are they IPad users that can tell me about the software they uses ? Because I know that Clip Studio is now available on IPad and I do use it already on my computer, so something familiar might be a better choice, but CSP is a monthly subscription right ? When CSP went monthly I switched to Procreate cause I can’t really afford that in the long run and I was planning to get a new device anyways since my computer was having a midlife crisis. They are a bit similar, but Procreate has a very minimalist layout, the app is more affordable than CSP I think a little over $12USD (not the iPad), and my grip on my drawing tablet (or even like the Microsoft Surface) was much better than it is now on an iPad. Kind of feels like I’m drawing on glass sometimes and like I don’t have enough space to move my arm (I don’t like drawing with wrist). Idk but I like how things are going so far.

•i’d say it’s definitely worth your money. it’s a one-time purchase after all! before that, i used ibispaint on my phone but once i got my hands on my ipad mini and got procreate, i never looked back. there are so many brushes in procreate it’s insane. you can even customize them to your needs! (tho i kinda wish they had a vector-like mode bc whenever i enlarge something it looks jagged and inconsistent smh)
other than that, it’s a very nice drawing program. the hype is justified!

•I don't really like it because I'm used to krita and procreate is very different. I only use it for doodles and not full illustrations because it's easier with Krita for me. If I had no other choice and had to use it, I would maybe like it better

Bought Procreate IMMEDIATELY after I got an iPad and never regretted that decision. It is clear and fully suited to artists who mainly do illustration and the like
I have had some experience using CSP and can confirm it WILL speed up work for those who make webcomics. Sadly there’s the monthly paywall now locking updates but if you’re resourceful enough, you can make do with any other software.
The one downside I can see so far for Procreate is how canvas size will affect you the most; it impacts the app’s limit on layers per file

•Procreate is much cheaper than CSP, and it is a one time payment, but it is very different than CSP. Personally I'd go for it tho, it's such a better deal money-wise and it's a powerful program so I would think it is worth learning it!

•It's absolutely worth it. Procreate is amazing and very versatile. I use it for most of my work. It depends on your goal, though. If you illustrate, animate, practice calligraphy, or do graphics design, I strongly recommend Procreate. If you want to make webcomics or more anime style drawings, although Procreate can be used, CSP may be the way to go right now.

•I subscribe to CSP since I use my ipad for basically all digital art now (almost never desktop anymore). For me, it’s worth it. Many people love procreate but I just can’t make myself love it. However I don’t regret buying it and having it. I would personally use Art Studio Pro on my ipad full time if I had to cancel CSP. It’s a one time $40 or a yearly $9 subscription. Its workflow feels more like CSP or photoshop than procreate, to me. But I think I’m an exception and Procreate has like universal praise. Also: CSP on ipad is nearly identical to desktop, which I love. I also use a combination of the on screen side bar shortcuts, command bar shortcuts, and quick access shortcuts to replace physical keyboard shortcuts, though you could also use a separate bluetooth keyboard more like on a pc.
