First attempt at anime

It's... Not terrible I guess

But I still hate it

For context I decided to learn how to draw anime to realize my inner child's reason for drawing. When I first started drawing as a serious hobby, I wanted to draw OCs as anime characters. So I'm learning how to draw in a anime-inspired artstyle now

My usual artstyle is way more simplified, so I'm struggling to adjust to the changes. I also know that anime characters, depending on specific show, have more exaggerated anatomy. Musclsa are often bigger, broader people are even more broad, curvy people are curvier, etc. And while that isn't all anime, it's still something I want to partially include. Not fully exaggerated, but more than I usually draw them.

I tried making his head a little smaller to make him look bigger, because he is almost 8 ft tall (7'11) because he's a giant. He's also buff and broad, because he exercises a lot, and half of it is for work. He works as a hero with the main cast of Krygon. He defeats villains with them, then gets money from the government. He has an especially high pay due to "close relations" with the king and queen. He never specified what he means.

In Krygon, there's two types of giants, regular giants, which are about 7-9 feet tall, or there's galiath giants, which are more like the traditional giants where there height ranges between the size of a 6 story building to the height of a tall skyscraper. The first mention being way shorter than average, and the second being way taller than average.Feb 1, 2026
