Sports bras tend to be more comfortable since they're made to be able to work out while compressing your chest
Binding was a pain in the ass when I did it during some gender questioning, so I'd say it's more uncomfortable by far.

Also, I'm pretty sure 8 hours a day is fine, but remember to take it off as soon as possible after that point (or if it starts to hurt) or else you risk injury.

And don't wear it EVERY day, taking a couple days off per week is good. Unsafe binding habits can be dangerous, so be careful!
I’ve never tried out a binder before, but the sports bras I wear make it where I forget I’m even wearing one since they’re so comfortable!

Also, it’s highly recommended that you shouldn’t wear a binder for longer than about 8 hours a day, to have binder breaks, & to not wear it everyday. They could really mess you up if you wear them too much for too long!

I personally don’t think it’s a good idea to try to wear them for school because you can’t really take breaks & school takes up the majority of the week.

Transtape might be a better option than a binder, but I’m honestly not sure! I’ve heard it works better if you have a smaller bust size.

I’d do my best to research it from trans sources (Googling binding questions should give you some!) I hope this helps!
