Edit: Prologue is actually spit into 4 parts, not 3
Hey! I’m finally beginning the drawing process for my comic I Woke Up in Zombie Land! A few things to know about how I will be releasing the IWUZL comic:
(1/5) Despite the story being about zombies, it’s not a horror. It’s very slow-paced and reads more like a mild drama. So, if you’re looking for something more action-packed, this isn’t for you.
(2/5) IWUIZL chapters will be split into smaller parts. I’ll release each part in full, rather than release page by page (for example Prologue Part One out of Three). It’ll give me more time to edit where I need to + I think it provides a better reading experience to you guys.
(3/5) I’ll just be working on the comic whenever I fancy. While becoming a comic artist would be a dream come true, I currently don’t plan on using my comics as my main source of income. It’s just for my own enjoyment right now. I’m not going to go off of a strict schedule that will burn me out or add more labour in my life where there shouldn’t be.
(4/5) This will make the release dates fairly unpredictable. It’ll take months or even years (though hopefully not) to release anything unless I really get into the groove of things. Please keep in mind that I have a separate, full time day job. I know a lot of comic creators experience toxic fans who keep demanding new chapters to be released, so yeahhh just want to put that out there so that there are no expectations.
(5/5) This is technically my second time attempting to make a comic, but I still consider myself very new at it. So there are probably going to be lots of newby errors. I’d appreciate constructive criticism, but do not have high hopes. Because, again, it’s all just for fun!Aug 7, 2024
