When it was discovered that a child were to be born inside the highly structured and guarded plane of knowledge named Metrex, the higher ranking Custodians were enraged. They were not cruel, however, so they decided to imprison the mother but trained the child to be of use. Mivenael grew up trained to become a Pageholder, a sentinel of the library whose sole purpose is to guard against invaders whose curiosity got the better of them.
