What’s the password? - AT

Phew... I begin to work on this piece throughout January, and finally got it done! It was my side on my belated AT with @/licorish-art, in which I chose to draw her newest mascot, Red! :]

I still need to practice drawing backgrounds, and yet I still resort to drawing skylines in a funky n' abstract way lol- they're just so chill and fun to make I couldn't resist. I also really wanted to capture Red's grumpy teen energy, and there's no better way to picture that other than leaving her without Wi-Fi xD

Now, I must say... nailing that pose down and getting those hands right was a pain :'] I had to redo them so many times I was starting to get unmotivated with the concept... but I didn't give up, and insisted on the idea.

I mixed two different techniques here: one being the comic-esque linework I like to make + a softer, more textured shading with blending modes. I then added some finishing touches, extra textures and anything else that could highlight the neon urban vibe I was going for

I hope you guys and specially Licorish enjoy the result! I had lots of fun working on it and bringing the whole concept together ^^
