Undying Love In Spring

Presenting you all my third entry for Novemburton 25, and the theme was "Undying Love In Spring."

The first thing that came to my mind for this prompt is Alice from the Tim Burton's 2010 Alice in Wonderland movie embracing the cherryblossoms and to capture the Hanami atmosphere in this illustration It's currently still Spring here in Australia but we are in our final week of that season. Despite Spring being a hay fever season, the cherryblossoms are always my favourite thing to see during this season, but they bloom away too soon. I have always wanted to visit Japan for Hanami, and it would be a wonderful treat. The cherryblossoms are very beautiful and are iconic in Japan.

As for this illustration, I'm happy with the subject matter but not the rendering as it turned out too plain despite adding a fair amount of shades. As an artist who has been drawing for many years, it's extremely frustrating that most of my drawings do not turn out exactly the way I imagined it.
