📈 Redesign your OC using trends! 📈
Huzzah, my first time hosting a challenge!
So, I'm assuming y'all know what "trends" are in statistics. The challenge here is to identify trends within your own OC's design, and use said trends to create a prediction of what your character could look like in the future, if the trend were to continue. Simple enough, right?
As an example, Ali (the frog in the challemge thumbnail) used to have a small hoodie. It grew a bit since his first appearance, though, so the trend suggested his hoodie would be freaking massive. You can make trends on virtually any aspect of your character's design; look a bit closer and you'll see that with each iteration of Ali, his color palette expands, he gains more details (though he had basically none to begin with), and even his head takes on a rounder shape!
No template; sorry folks 💀
Here's some guidelines though:
📉 You should draw at least 3 iterations of your OC to show off the trend(s): the first being one of your OC's earlier designs, another being your OC's current design, and the last being the projected design.
♻️ Anyone participating is encouraged to redraw their characters' old designs instead of using old artwork of them. This is so the style is more consistent with your redesign, and so that it can be presented best!
🔞 NSFW is highly discouraged. I as the host of the challenge wouldn't be able to view it (and if I can I'll report u lol)
🪟 You're encouraged to present your characters in a way that highlights the changes between the designs best! Otherwise, the approach you take to presenting them is up to you; in my drawing, for example, the 3 Alis are waving their increasingly large sleeves around in a perspective shot. Your drawings don't need perspective and they can be separate from each other, in panels, etc.
Funny story actually; this challenge was inspired by this projected growth meme of a puppy: https://knowyourmeme.com/photos/2054710-thanks-i-hate-it
Feel free to use an edited version of that as a template 😆
TL;DR use common sense for what's allowed, and if you need anything clarified or explained further feel free to ask below! I think I typed enough in this description already
