Don't be afraid to experience with many textures and tools ! Digital is cool because you can try so many different things !

honestly a lot of it is experimentation! it takes a while to get used to and usually your traditional vs digital style will be a little different! and you hear this a lot but like,,, just fill a few canvases with doodles so that you can get used to it and try out different things without feeling like it has to be polished. also, clipping layers are your friend. they make shading and stuff soooo much easier. and use layers! you can always merge them as you go along if you end up with too many
