The eyes are the mirror of the soul
Something I did a while back, and can finally share.I took a sentence from a fortune cookie and after talking with a friend about it I based the illustration around the myth of the changeling - a fae child that has been switched with a human child, and is supposed to have no soul.
So even if it manages to pass as human, it's eyes would still give it away, since a mirror can only reflect what is there.Jun 11, 2021
