I just realized I seem to prefer requests to commissions, and not because I'm cheap.
I'm not sure why, but I'm very often disappointed when I buy a commission. Maybe it's the fact that since I'm paying money, my expectations are high, but still! I just often feel like artists don't do as good of a job on my art than they do on their other artworks.
But when I get a request, I'm always happy, no matter the skill level. I'm just glad someone took enough interest in my characters that they decided to draw them for free.
Idk just a thought I felt like sharing. What about you guys? Do you feel like that too?Jun 22, 2026
