Colouring Challenge 2023 [Sign ups closed]
► What is the colouring art challenge?
The colouring art challenge is essentially where you get to fill in and colour line art for templates I have created by me. Digital and traditional colouring are both accepted.
These are not templates that I have made public so you’ll be going in without any proper reference besides simple OC info, a colour palette and past art that possibly involves the OC that is optional to follow.
Timeline Challenge:
June 1-30 - Sign Ups
July 1-31 - Time to Colour
August 15 - Upload of Submissions!
► What exactly would you be colouring?
All the line art provided will revolve around my OCS, with at least one OC group line art. Colouring and creating backgrounds are highly encouraged but completely optional. You will also be provided with a handbook with information and colour palettes!
► What do I win?
Nothing. This is simply a fun challenge that I created originally for my discord server to allow artists and non-artists to have fun or practice colouring. Since 2022, I have been hosting it not only there but here as well!
► Do I have to be a good artist?
Absolutely not! This is open to everyone of all skill levels. The main aim is to simply have fun and practice colouring techniques.
► How do I enter?
Simply comment down below that you’re interested in joining. The challenge doesn’t officially start until June so consider this the sign-up sheet.
I’ll pm all those interested at the end of the month if they’re still keen and will give them a link to the drive with a guide and the line art.
► When do we submit our finished coloured pieces?
The challenge officially finishes at the end of July (August 14th for extensions).
Artfol: On August 15th (I’ll also inform you), You can submit your finished piece to the challenge post, where I’ll share all submissions. The challenge post will have its details updated, of course. Please do NOT submit anything before this date.
Instagram: I’ll make collective showcases of all submissions on Instagram with credit and tagging. You’re more than welcome to post your piece on Insta or anywhere else :D
► What happens after?
You can look at all the different styles and interpretations everyone had for the same templates! Over the past two years, the best thing about this challenge has been the different types of colouring styles!
I’ll be colouring in these line art pieces as well (since they’re canon to my universe) and uploading my own versions with/without lore!
