Titania and the Petunia
«The petunias are a symbol of anger and resentment, but also a sign of never losing hope»Petunias aren´t the kind of flower I imagined having such a negative symbolism attatched to it. But that isn´t to say that its all negativity, it depends on the type of colors they come in. I decided to include pink, yellow and blue ones to represent the more positive associations with the flower and their connection to Titania.
Pink petunias are associated with motherly love and compassion. These are traits Titania learns by spending time with Leslie
Yellow petunias are symbolic of friendship, respect and sympathy. These are traits she learned from her sister Margot.
Blue petunias are associated with having deep trust or intimate relationship. These traits are the most challenging aspect for Titania to have. She will learn to have this, then unlearn it to defend herself, and then learn it again once she overcomes her fear.
Despite her heart being filled with rage and unjustice, she is much more than her anger. Just like the petunia is much more than their surface level symbolism.
