I don’t think I’ll ever understand art therapists using AI to post about art itself… 
A lot of my colleagues said you should get into becoming an art therapist and I was like “hmmm maybe” I found an art therapist and was thinking about going to book her/to see what the job was like itself but like… Then I found her therapist social handle. Every OTHER post full of AI. what the fuck
You would think all artists hate AI but apparently ??? Not ???? It’s so hard to wrap my head around it, especially with different type of artists in general that post ts (musicians, photographers, etc)Apr 14, 2026

Reminds me of my art group, some of the oldest members love to share IG links with AI vids and images as inspiration, but I think, in their case, it's because they, as elder people in their 70s/80s, don't fully understand the damage AI causes as they are all traditional artists who never posted their art online, so they have no social media and don't understand how AI steals art.

idk how she’s using it exactly, but that seems pretty odd. In art therapy, the act of doing the art yourself is pretty crucial to reap the benefits… just giving prompts to a machine seems like it would defeat those benefits (exploring your feelings and thoughts, engaging with the process physically, and the self-esteem of having done something of your own)

You will NOT see me pull up to a music venue that has an AI poster, or literally give money to people who use AI as a whole. What are we DOINGGG WHERE’S THE PASSION, WHERE’S THE “DO IT YOURSELF”???? AI is so soulless and frankly it makes you lose brain cells & your will to create from your own hands/brain once you heavily rely on it.
