) Hey I’m so sorry for not posting here for awhile! A lot has been happening for me and I kinda forgot about Artfol which I’m really really sorry for. But I promise soon I’ll try to post more art!
I’m gonna be honest I kinda dread New Years. Plus this year was pretty bad for me. There were some positives like Artfight but for the most part I faced a lotta life changes that were. Yeah.
But I just wanna say thank you to everyone who supported me over these past few months. Artfol was definitely one of the more positive parts of this year. Let’s hope for the better next yearDec 31, 2021

Just to let you know, we’ve been having a problem with some fantasy-race-obsessed accounts on here, all highly suspected & many confirmed (with evidence) to be the same man. The series of dwarf accounts started November 1st while the elf accounts started around May.
If you suddenly receive/see a comment/DM asking you to draw elf characters &/or join their challenge, (the challenges are so that he doesn’t have to worry about paying people for their labor) that’s very likely to be Spiritomb1831, but using a different username. Most users refer to him as “elf guy.” His currently known (& not banned) accounts on Artfol are @/elenwen, @/gondolinfolk, & @/myriadofcolours, in case you’d like to block all of them. The art he posts is often stolen, traced, or commissioned art he scammed from unknowing artists. He tends to only post one piece of art & make it his profile picture. Sometimes he makes detailed elf art from DA his PFP instead. This user has been found on Reddit, DeviantArt, Instagram, Discord, & Artfol; all with different usernames.

If you suddenly receive/see a comment or post that brings up the following: talking about how dwarves are great/mighty/the best race & elves suck, promoting violence against LGBT+ folks, promoting s*xual violence & torture towards women (& elves), telling users to off themselves, insulting/harassing users; it’s very likely to be “dwarf guy.” He’s HIGHLY suspect with evidence to be Spiritomb1831. His accounts’ usernames tend have the keywords “dwarf,” “mountain,” or “supremacist” in the username &/or a user who’s profile picture is sometimes art of a bald bearded man (or a dwarf.) Sometimes the PFP is left blank.
All of these accounts tend to make the exact same grammatical mistakes, misspellings, & bring up the same topics such as elves, dwarves, LOTR, a mermay for elves, & women/elves being tortured, mutilated, &/or r*ped. The art challenges tend to go off on huge worldbuilding/character/elf establishing tangents & aren’t really related to the challenge at all.
Only two of the elf accounts (we know of) has been banned so far, & all 10 of the dwarf accounts (we know of) have been banned; 7 of the dwarf accounts were banned within an hour to 15 minutes after actively spam-harassing users. The Devs are fully aware about “dwarf guy,” which is how the accounts tend to be banned so quickly! These accounts aren’t active very often, as the dwarf accounts only pop up once a week; with the help from the Devs, aren’t usually active for more than an hour.
If you do see one of his posts or a comment on a post, (either yours or someone else’s) it’s best to NOT INTERACT. It’s hard to tell for certain if these accounts/that user is a troll, but considering his persistence with (this is not an exaggeration) almost 40 known usernames across the internet, it’s likely he’s so obsessed/passionate/lustful about elves/women, he won’t stop until he has no access to the internet at all.
If you see any of his content that can be reported (spamming people for free art, art theft, unprompted harassment/bullying, etc) please do report the account, block the account, & if they commented on one of your posts, screenshot it & DM it to @/pestacular, & then delete the comment like nothing happened. The more reports an account or post gets from multiple users, the higher it goes on the devs’ list to investigate & take proper action! Apparently, they can’t ban IP addresses because it’s too expensive; roughly $1,000 expensive & buying a new IP address only costs like $25-$35, so it’s not exactly a worthwhile investment a small app can make!
Despite all of that mess, Artfol is still a chill & fun place to be! I know this is A LOT of crazy information, but it’s important users know about this so no one can be scammed or hurt by any of that man’s accounts!
