The witch
"Clothed in heavy cloak interwoven with paradox mysteries and gnarly skins whose colors transit from barely there, blush pink to sickening laurel green, she walks through the continuum of astral spaces accompanied by haunting symphony of nonexistent screams..."Haashmawar is one of my most recently designed characters, with story yet to be polished.
Part one :
As goddess born in era of the Old gods, she represented the spirit of intelligence, wisdom and stars, who lived in the realm populated by deities with high affinity to magic, with her being amongst the very few with ability to use black magic. It wasn't long before a war broke out among her kind, caused by disagreement between the five firstborn brothers, the creatures who held absolute power at that time. The rest of the deities either chose sides or were forced to do so, and the bate resulted in eradicating each and every one of them. The most endangered ones were the black magic summoners, as most powerful and unpredictable among the common deities; they were hunted and slaughtered in fear of them joining any of the opposing sides, and most were killed before they were even given an opportunity to choose. Haashmawar managed to survive by fleeing into the stars and taking form of the Horsehead Nebula. After eons of war, the two surviving brothers, tired of battle, came to realisation that, without deities to maintain the stability of the universe, it will collapse into nothingness. This very realisation made them decide to sacrifice themselves as punishment for their actions. Using the rest of the magic in the realm, still present as the form of energy that was left after the murder of their kind, they transformed themselves into the tree of creation (name yet to be chosen), which would give life to new generation of deities to rebuild their realm. Haashmawar's awakening would take millions of years after these events, and her arrival amongst the New gods would be seen as a complete mystery, as they possessed no knowledge of existence of gods before them.Apr 19, 2021
