I just finished watching a gameplay series of "Dave the Diver" and I really loved this game so much 😭 I even grew attached to the characters

I like writing game reviews for myself as a hobby (since watching gameplays for me is the same as binge watching a tv series/anime) so feel free to read what I wrote for this game :'D

DAVE THE DIVER

Genre: Indie adventure role-playing management sim
Score: ⭐ 10

Personal Notes: this game was a box full of surprises for sure! The 2D (pixel art) designs mixed with some 3D stuff gave a unique aesthetic to it. I feel that mixing 2D with 3D graphics is a new trend on indie games and animated movies as well (such as Spiderverse)

I never felt bored while watching the 20+ hours of gameplay since there was still new content to discover until the very end of this game and the mechanics seemed to be so much fun that it made me feel like actually purchasing the game on Steam and playing it myself (it's pretty cheap for a game with this much content)

Even tho the characters weren't really complex, their cliche and stereotypical personalities really added to the game's humorous aspect and in the end I felt like they were all "close friends" of mine (I also enjoyed the plot a lot) - my fav characters are probably Dave and Bancho. Dave definitely had the funniest dialogues lmao

The soundtrack was one of the positive points of this game as well, specially when a certain singer character appears (not gonna spoil the rest haha)

In addition, it made me feel nostalgic and remember of when I used to play flash fishing games as a kid during the 2000s

You can clearly see that this game was made with passion
