I see it as a way of characters discovering more about who they are and what they prefer. It adds more substance to the character and everytime I see it; I'm just a sucker for it. I have characters that discovered that they love to crossdress and some even do it as a hobby to see what crossdress outfits are the best for different occasions just for the fun of it. There are many examples of what they like to do with crossdressing and most of their family member or friends just go along with it or help them look absolutely fabulous. I don't see it that often when it comes to OCS, but I still enjoy it every single time.
